Ayurveda teaches us the aging process can be beautiful. However, over time, the stress of modern living, extremes of climate, and the food we eat can take a toll on the human body and mind. For these reasons, Rasayanas have been used for centuries. Ayurveda's approach to the aging process is known as Rasayana Chikitsa, comprising therapies, lifestyle modification, and herbal formulations to balance the individual constitution and mind.
Your bodily constitution is represented through the Doshas and appears on the skin, as dry and rough (Vata), sensitive and oily (Pitta), and moist, smooth and thick (Kapha).
We all age, but how we get there makes all the difference.

Like an axel of a cart, dry skin becomes strong and resistant by the application of oil. Using oil to massage the human body makes the skin strong and smooth. The body is less susceptible to Vata diseases and gains resistance against exhaustion and exertions -Charaka Samhita
